Three All Natural Ways To Get Clear Skin!

Hi everyone! So today's post is all about getting clear and radiant skin the all natural way! I know some of you who have battled with skin imperfections might be skeptical and I understand because I was one of those people up until about a year ago.

I have battled with acne since I was about 12 years old. Both of my parents suffered from cystic acne and still do as adults. I've underwent multiple chemical peels, UV light treatments and I've spent a lot of money on professional acne medication as well as over the counter products. Once I started to change my diet, however, to a healthy sun food based vegan diet, I noticed my skin getting better immediately. No more chemicals and no more painful treatments!

Although I still do have my occasion breakout flare ups, I do notice it's always, and I mean ALWAYS when I'm depriving my body of these three most BASIC necessities.

1. WATER! Water is our most basic necessity and in a society where soda, juices and coffee run wild, we don't consume nearly as much as we need to. Even so called "water" now a days is pumped full of enhancers like "vitamins" or "natural fruit flavors". Don't be fooled...these are all chemicals and sugar that deplete your body's fluid level instead of enhancing it. Please do yourself a favor and get your water the all natural way...plain. Just beautiful, refreshing, hydrating H2O! :)
It does wonders to your skin. It flushes out all impurities and is a natural anti-aging fighter. Did you know that!? The more water you drink, the more your overall health improves. Your body will thank you for it and your skin will start clearing up fast!

2. SUN FOODS! What I mean by sun foods are literally foods that are grown by the sun naturally. No chemicals, no artificial preservatives! I'm talking about fruits, veggies and nuts. These foods flush out toxins from our bodies and help to purify our blood which in turn gives us beautiful, clear and radiant skin! Here's a brief list of certain sun foods that do wonders for your complexion. Try to get these in every single day. Your body and skin will thank you for it.
-Berries! They are full of antioxidants. The darker the berry, the better.
-Avocado!  It's packed full of vitamin E which boosts skins luminosity. This is what many over the counter products synthetically contain. Why not get yours naturally?
-Kale! King kale is jammed packed with vitamins A, B, C, E and K. It's a calcium powerhouse as well as jammed packed with potassium and iron.
-Sweet potatoes! Seriously one of my favorite foods...I notice better skin always after I eat a baked sweet potato. It has anti-stress properties as well as many vitamins to really tackle acne flare ups!

3. SLEEP! If your struggling with acne breakouts aim to get at least 1-2 more hours of sleep at night. It decreases stress and our skin repairs itself at night.

Of course the products we put on our skin also has a lot to do with breakouts but that's a topic for another post!
